An educational farm that operates a 70-acre, non-profit farm that demonstrates and promotes small-scale, sustainable agriculture, through education and research.

Four Winds Farm
Four Winds Farm is a 24-acre diversified Family Farm under organic management since 1988. They raise 50 varieties of vegetables in their 4-acre CSA garden. Our CSA regular season runs from June through December. They also sell at the New Paltz, Peekskill, Cold Spring, and Pine Bush Farmers' Markets. Heirloom Vegetable Seedlings are available for gardeners. They also offer pastured poultry and pork, eggs from pastured hens, and grassfed lamb and beef. They've been NOFA-NY Certified Organic since 1989.
Hawthorne Valley Farm
Hawthorne Valley offers: organic and Biodynamic produce from Hawthorne Valley Farm; over 40 varieties of vegetables grown on 10-acre market garden; no synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides used on vegetables; fruit shares and flower shares (from local farmers) available; weekly delivery of produce for approximately 21 weeks.
Hearty Roots Community Farm
There are two price options for a CSA share:
The regular share price is $500 per year.
The working share price is $400 per year, for members who agree to volunteer 3 hours of farmwork each month from June - September.
Huguenot Street Farm
Not currently accepting new members.
Standard Share ($390): 21 weekly distributions of vegetables
50%-Bigger Share ($585): 21 weekly distributions of vegetables. Exactly 50% more food than the standard share.
Fruit Share ($150) Runs minimum 17 weeks
Vacation Option: If you are going on vacation during the summer, share your share with a friend, donate it to a needy New Paltz family.
Food is veganic (no use of slaughterhouse products, vegetables grown from plant-based manure sources).
Midsummer Farm
Still have a couple of shares available.
First year running a CSA, certified Organic, going above and beyond those standards and using biodynamic methods. Specializes in Italian heirloom vegetables. Fresh items sometimes include eggs, and even cut flowers.
Full share: $525, no half share specifically offered, no work requirement, but participation is welcome and encouraged (you can bring your kids, too).

Roxbury Farm
Roxbury is a community supported farm, one of the largest in the country, and the first to have a community in New York City. They grow vegetables, herbs, melons, and strawberries for over 850 shareholders representing over 1,000 families in four communities-Columbia County, the Capital Region, Westchester County, and Manhattan-on 225 acres in Kinderhook.
